Jeffery Neng Kwei Sung

Mr Jeffery Neng is the Deputy Director of the Green Mark Department overseeing several key green building initiatives under the BCA Green Building Masterplan. These include the BCA Green Mark Scheme which rate buildings on their level of environmental friendliness especially energy efficiency, water efficiency and quality of indoor environment; the Green Mark Incentives Scheme to encourage private developers to build green buildings; the Public sector taking the lead to go green and legislation on energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. Prior to his current appointment, he was the Manager (Certification Section) in BCA overseeing the BCA ISO certification schemes. Prior to that, he had his stint as an executive engineer in the Building Engineering Division in charge of approving structural plans and as a senior development officer in Buildability Development Section and CONQUAS Section. Jeffery is a scholar of the former Construction Industry Development Board. He graduated with a B.Eng(1st class honour) from NTU in 1998 and subsequently obtained a Master of Science (Civil Engineering) from NUS in 2006.
